A tall elegant man strode along calmly, bright gaze flicking from person to person as he move. The wind blew through his hair as he rounded a corner of the city. He took a step backwards to keep his balance before trudging onwards, minding his own business while he plotted. Who was he? Why he was Karasu Rath, leader of the Corvus clan. The Corvus was a group of vampires, yes vampires, that were bent on either destroying the rest of the clans or bringing them to heel like the dogs they where. A smirk rested on his face as he kept walking. A vampire in the daylight? Nobody looked twice at him, even with his massive sword unsheathed and carried easily in one hand. He probably looked like a vampire-hunter at least that's the idea that he was given from the look on people's faces. He growled lightly in his throat before turning so that he was in a pub. He blinked a few times before ordering a glass of water and sitting in the back, his cruel gaze flicking over the crowd that seemed intent on ignoring the prescence of vampires in their lives. Idiotic fools. His sipped at his water, disgusted by the taste but knowing he needed to blend in with the crowd for now. At least as well as someone of his size and appearence could blend. He stuck out like a sore thumb to put it mildly.

A normal sized woman sits in the back corner of the tavern, scanning everyone that comes in the tavern with her emerald green eyes. The hood of her cloak remains up regardless of being inside. This woman is known by few as Shilola. From her place in the corner she watches as a larger man walks into the pub carrying a large sword in his hand as if it were a fashion statement. As she watched him he orders a glass of water and goes to sit in the back. She quickly returned to her own drink hoping he did not notice her watching him.

It had just dawned on Karasu that perhaps he shouldn't have walked into the tavern with his sword, but the damage was done. He could feel eyes on him as he moved but he paid little attention to it until he was comfortable. His light blue gaze flicking around the room as they settled on a blonde woman who seemed as if she was trying not to look at him. A vicious smirk creased his lips for a moment as he watched for her a couple moments. Did she know who he was. Not likely, did he know who she was? Nope, did he care? Hmmm, hard to say so far. Would she be alarmed if she found out that he was a vampire, and an Ancient to boot? No way in hell that she wouldn't. Concealing another smirk with a soft yawn he stretched before getting up and walking towards the girl. "Hello, I'm Karasu." He said calmly in a deep yet still lilting voice that many a girl had swooned over, if she did the same then he would be mildly depressed. She had an aura that made him think that she wouldn't be a sissy and could deal with the likes of him. Of course he could be wrong, it's been known to happy, just not often.

Shilola did not notice Karasu get up and walk over to her, so she jumped slightly when he spoke to her. She looked him over before replying in an unamused voice, "I am Shilola." She was not sure what made him come over by her nor did she really care as long as he did not cause her to much trouble.

Karasu's eyes blinked slightly as a small smile twitched at the corner of his mouth as she jumped. Come now darling, had she really not heard the clump of his boots of the floor. Or the polite but plainly disturbed people asking him to be careful with his sword that had yet to leave his hand? Speaking of that sword, it was a monster by many people's standards. Either was roughly the same size as him or a bit taller. The blade itself was almost blood red, matching his coat. The hilt was finely crafted and detailed and fit over his hand protecting it when fighting. She didn't seem, happy?, when she spoke and Karasu lifted one eyebrow calmly. "So what do you think of all of the vampire attacks lately?" He asked calmly, making himself comfortable across from the girl. So that's what he was going in the town. Getting some information from his prey about what they thought about all of the vampire murders lately, caused by him or those in his clan and his clan numbers where preciously gaurded, not just any vampire claiming loyalty could get into his clan. No wonder he was already hated by some, though they didn't even know his name! What fun he could have.

Shilola looks at this man who has brought himself before her with a question she has no idea the answer to. However, based on the question she guessed that this man was only a human who wanted to seem, or really was, big and dangerous. Not feeling threatened by the sword even larger then the man himself she sees no reason why she can not share some true information about herself. She explains, "I am not from around these parts so I do not know much about the vampire attacks in this town. Maybe you would be able to get better facts from the owner or someone else." She examines his sword some more but shows no sign of being scared or impressed by it.

This girl wasn't very smart it seemed. She didn't know what she was doing, hanging out in the place and she didn't know about vampires. How foolish. A condenscending look formed on his face as he frowned slightly. "How foolish." He muttered, light blue eyes blazing slightly. "So you're telling me that you live here," He waved a hand to indicate the tavern and the city outside, "and yet you don't know about vampires?" He said, his voice low and dangerous, almost a hiss. He slammed his sword down into the wooden floor suddenly and it swayed there, half buried. Some people started to edge out of the place at the display of his strength and the owner blanched slightly. And suddenly he felt like he had to protect the fool of a girl. He growled at himself and reached out to try and grab her arm as he stood, tossing a couple of dollars onto the table. "Let's go." He snarled, tugging gently lest her break her arm as he grabbed his sword, freeing it with a deft twist and shouldering it as he stomped outside before rounding on the girl. "Of all the people I have met you are the most foolish and the luckiest to still be alive." He muttered darkly, eyes blazing with anger. A ray of sunshine fell directly on his face then and he merely blinked in surprised. Had he just given away what he was? With the displays of strength anyways? Oh well.

Shilola watches half the customers run as he slams his sword into the floor burring it into the wooden floor. She runs her tongue over her fangs right before he unexpectedly grabs her and pulls her out of the tavern into the sun without much protest on her part. After watching his fit of rage that displayed great nonhuman strength on his part she calmly listens to him go on about how she should not be alive because of how dumb she asks. Once he seems to have finished talking she slowly replies, "one is only as stupid as one wants to appear. Also one can easily stay alive by being ready for anything and everything." She said it all while looking him straight in the eye kind of confused on what he is since it is clear that he is not human but vampires can not be out in the sunlight. Can they?

The girl was an idiot. It didn't matter if you were ready for anything and everything, something was always the hidden thing that could upset the balance of everything, like him within the clans. He smirked slightly lifting a hand to tap her cheek smartly with one finger. "You can never be too prepared, it's the curve ball that screw you up, and darling, I'm a curveball of the worse kind." He said with that smirk, expecting her to flinch from his touch that was icy cold like vampires. He chuckled to himself, tilting his head down and resting one hand under his auburn bangs. This was becoming funny to him. This girl was just too stupid. She might make good fodder for someone. Someone like him perhaps? Nah, he didn't want her blood. He bent slightly to peer into her eyes unblinkingly. "You are either the most idiotic human I've ever met or the one with the greatest death wish this side of the ocean." He said calmly. Ooooops, there's another clue to the fact that he's not a human, but he's in sunlight so she wouldn't draw to the conclusion he was a vampire now would she? Sunlight plus vampires equals dead vampires, except for his clan and bloodlines, and the fact that he was an Ancient, so old of one that many would have to respect him. He smiled despite himself. He was a handsome man, he couldn't help that, and he really didn't do anything about it either, natural luck, especially considering his age! Lucky lucky man was Karasu.
