[[ bored posteh... -_- ]]
Kiyoko, in the form of a large, majestic bird, idled on a low branch - waiting. She ruffled her long ghostly-white feathers. Because of her abnormal silvery coat, she seemed to give off light; illuminating the area further when the snow was added into the mix. Xarisa was an odd place at nighttime - black covered the skies whilst the ground was completely white. She snapped her curved beak at a bug that perstered her. Insolent creatures, she thought, annoyed by the buzzing insect. Her attention quickly diverted to her opposite side, having heard the distant sound of a twig breaking in the general direction. Her peircing blue eyes focused on the approaching victims; her pupils slitted as she prepared for an attack. And more of them...
Two humans - one male the other female, Kiyoko sensed - soon appeared in her line of veiw, though their fate was already decided long before they actually showed themselves.
"Oh, look," the female said, clinging to the male's arm and pointing up to Kiyoko. "It's beautiful," she breathed, awestruck by her silvery-white presence.
"Whoa," the male commented, dazed by the rare sight.
The feme released her date's arm then took as slow step towards Kiyoko's perch. "It's okay birdie; I'm not going to hurt you," she soothed, extending a hand in an attempt to touch her.
I can't say the same for you, human, Kiyoko inwardly replied, since speaking was impossible in her current form. She expanded her wings to their full length then let out an intimidating cry. The female mortal withdrew her hand swiftly and she moved to cower behind the male. Kiyoko lunged forward to the closest target - the man. Kiyoko's sharp talons clung into his shoulders, digging deep in the flesh and muscle. She pecked at his eyes, blood rushing from each puncture. He shouted in agnoy; he tried to stop her, but his arms were immovalbe because Kiyoko had severed most of the tendons and muscles connecting shoulders and his arms. He collapsed backwards, life and strength leaving him. The male's eyes were mere black and bloody sockets after Kiyoko finished punishing him - trespassing being his crime. Crimson streams ran down his face; she continued to consume the gore.
Throughout the ordeal, the female human was at loss for words, horrified. But she finally found her voice. She shreiked, tears welling in her eyes at the death of her companion. She turned on her heel and broke into a run in the direction she originally came from. Her form disappearing in the black.
Kiyoko looked up from her meal, remembering the feme when she screamed. Blood covered her beak; multiple splatters had landed on her pure white tuft. She flicked several of her feathers, flinging the speks of red from her. Kiyoko stepped own from the deceased human and to the ground.
She spread out her wings again. The white feathers began to sway strangely and draw close. The bristles merged together and started to wave as if buffeted by wind. A white cloak fell to Kiyoko's side. She raised a hand to remove the hood from atop her head. Doing so released her long blue locks. Her now lavendar irises glanced down at the still form beside her feet, then she turned to look down the path the feme ran down.
"That ought to teach you humans to keep off of Lalande territory," she muttered to herself.
Kiyoko raised a hand to wipe away excess blood from her face. She stared at the red smear on the back of her hand, then licked the precious substance off. She grasped her lengthy tresses and began to wrap it into her signature bun. One hand holding her hair, Kiyoko reached in her pocket and pulled out a long white ribbon and tied her hair in place.
"That better be that last I see of them around here," Kiyoko chided, but then smiled wryly at her new thought. "But I guess getting quick and easy food isn't so bad once in a while."
Kiyoko looked up. It was still dark, it would stay so for a few hours or so - more than enough time to linger around and then return to the caves.

Fritchie was walking through her homeland, Xarisa. She had her neon blue colored hair pulled back in a pony tail, for the first time in over fifty years. Also she was wearing a Black gown, another first but this time in over a thousand years. She just felt like dressing up. She was mostly planning on going to the city and see if she could mess around with the humans. She just loved doing that at times.
The scent of blood drifted to her, and it was strong. She knew some human had just died, in her lands. That was strange, seeing as she has never met a human dumb enough to wonder this far away from the city. She walked slowly over to where the scent of blood was. She stopped when she saw a young vampire pull her soft blue hair back and tie it with a white ribbon. She heard the young girl speak, but it wasn't really clear to what she said.
Fritchie walked out of the shadows and into the slight moonlight filtering through the trees to the snow covered ground. She looked over the young vampire and then looked down to the male human, dead. 'Must've tasted good.' she thought to herself before looking at the vampire again. "I take it he was in our lands exploring. I guess he won't do it again." She usually doesn't speak, especially like this. But I guess tonight she felt different.

While savoring the last remants of human blood in her mouth, Kiyoko was oblivious to the approaching vampire. But when she heard a female voice behind her, she spun around to face the stranger. Her visage softened when she noted them being in the same clan. "Yes, he and a female human were frollicking on our land, though I let the other go," Kiyoko explained, brushing aside a stray hair out of her face. "He was punished accordingly and that ought to be a warning to the runaway."
She shifted stance slightly before speaking once more. "And I hope he won't do that again. But it'd be an odd sight; considering he, as you've noticed, no longer has any eyes. Also, his arms are useless now, since the tissue was severed."
Kiyoko glanced around, taking in the minor scenery. It's been so long... yet nothing has changed, she smiled slightly at her thought.
She turned back to the other vampire, smile still apparent. "My bad, I can't believe I forgot. My name is Kiyoko Shirotori, next leader of the Lalande," she introduced herself. "I have been absent for awhile - training - but now I'm returning to my birth clan. May I ask you who is currently in charge? Is it you, Ancient-san?" [/blockquote]

Fritchie looked over the young vampire as she spun around to face her. 'Yes, he and a female human were frollicking on our land, though I let the other go' Fritchie wondered why she let the female go. And the vampire's next response cleared that up. 'He was punished accordingly and that ought to be a warning to the runaway.'
"hmm... That is a slight pity. I am sure the female's blood would've tasted good." She just said that and didn't really mean it. She wouldn't of drank from either of them. She wasn't hungry at all and she usually doesn't prefer killing young people with a life ahead of them. She was actually nice to the human race at times.
'And I hope he won't do that again. But it'd be an odd sight; considering he, as you've noticed, no longer has any eyes. Also, his arms are useless now, since the tissue was severed' Fritchie looked down to the male closer and saw what he said was real. She had never seen anything like that. Surprising. But none of her emotions or actions showed anything.
Her attention shifted as the other spoke again. 'My bad, I can't believe I forgot. My name is Kiyoko Shirotori, next leader of the Lalande, I have been absent for awhile - training - but now I'm returning to my birth clan. May I ask you who is currently in charge? Is it you, Ancient-san?'
So this was the next Lalande leader. Thats good to know. Fritchie did a slight curtsy to the young vampire. No. I am not in charge. Actually I don't believe anyone is in charge. No one has really stepped up. She thought about what she said and noticed she forgot something. Ohh, I'm sorry. My name is Fritchie.

Something stood out in the pure white snow beneath her, something that was also the silvery, shimmering color. A feather - her feather. Kiyoko knelt down to pick up the stray, rising to her full height and delicately holding the root of the feather between her thumb and index finger. While listening to the other vampire, Kiyoko straightened the bristles, returning the feather to its original sleek, manicured state.
From the corner of her eyes, Kiyoko watched her fellow vampire, deciding her next words. No one is the temporary leader? Kiyoko asked herself mentally. "But I assume all is well then, Fritchie-san," she mused, smiling vaguely.
Now she was eager to return home; she wanted to see everybody though she doubted that they would recognize her, she had changed so much in the duration of her training. Once so timid but now confrontational and straight-forward. She began to saunter in the direction which she knew was the Lalande caves - she did know, Kiyoko never forgot the layout of the vast lands of Xarisa.
Expecting Fritchie to follow her, Kiyoko started to muse once more, ever curious. "Do tell me, how have things been with the clan? The entire time I was gone I've been wondering so. Ever since Father died I had lost various means of contact." [/color]

Fritchie saw Kiyoko pick up a a silvery looking feather. She herself has never seen a feather like that. It seem so pretty and flawless. She has never seen a bird with feathers like that either. To her it must have been a rare bird. 'But I assume all is well then, Fritchie-san' Fritchie nodded to Kiyoko. All was well.
Fritchie turned and fallowed Kiyoko when she headed in the direction of the caves. 'Do tell me, how have things been with the clan? The entire time I was gone I've been wondering so. Ever since Father died I had lost various means of contact.' Fritchie's mind finally snapped together. "Her father was leader Shirotori? If that was so I never knew he had a daughter, let alone children. If this is his child I wonder why he kept her away from the clan." Okay, maybe he didn't but she can't remember.
What can she say. She was not really connected to the clan like most members are. She liked being on her own. What many say 'a lone wolf.' And that is what she was like. She lived in the farthest cave away from the rest of the clan. It is small, but she doesn't care. She just liked being on her own. So mostly yeah, the leader could've shown his daughter but Fritchie just wasn't around to find out.
"Things have been good with the clan that I know of. I haven't heard any fights of any kind in a long while. To me most of the clan has been keeping to themselves." She didn't really have much to say nor report to the new leader. She never really paid attention to the clan, so all she said was true. All she said was what she knew of.

"That's good to hear," Kiyoko commented, her lavendar orbs still focused on the path before them. "The clan is remaining civilized in spite of the stereotype 'animal-ish' attributes." Her own statement caused her to remember her assualt on the male human from moments prior.
Her desire to return was getting the best of her. She spun on the heel of her foot to face Fritchie. "I really want to return soon, what say you?"
He chuckled lightly then asked, "Have you ever flown before?"

'That's good to hear' She hear Kiyoko state. Frit looked around her as they walked. She liked it here. the snow and everything. 'The clan is remaining civilized in spite of the stereotype 'animal-ish' attributes.' She looked at the leader as she spoke again. To Frit that wasn't her. She never acting like an animal.
Of course that could be because she is older and an ancient, able to control her feelings to be so. Frit stopped fast as Kiyoko turned to face her. 'I really want to return soon, what say you?' She just nodded slightly at her. 'Have you ever flown before?' This is were Kiyoko lost her. Fly? What the heck did she mean?
"I can't say that I have Kiyoko." She was a little unsure of the leader's sanity now.

"Well, you will now!" Kiyoko stated, rather optimistic.
She turned away from Fritchie, smile still plastered firmly to her visage. Even without a rush of air, her white cloak started to flap behind her. The straight, trimmed end of the garment morphed, bumps and ridges forming. Soon the clothing merged with Kiyoko's figure and her bird features set in. Her height was shrunk about half a foot. She resembled an eagle, though the feathers were silvery-white. She glanced over her shoulder with her vibrant blue irises to Fritchie, wondering what she thought of her transformation.
With a gust of wind, Kiyoko's propelled herself upwards around six feet, just above her companion. She swooped down a bit to grasp Fritchie's right wrist, getting a firm grip without harming the other vampire with her talons. Kiyoko lifted herself and Fritchie high in the air, though the vast plain of snow still continued ahead of them.

'Well, you will now!' Fritchie wasn't sure about this but when she saw Kiyoko start to transform she took a step back. This was unexpected. She knew people could do this, but she didn't know her leader could.
She watched her leader fly in the air then come down and grap her wrist and pull her in the air. For a moment she didn't care and was amazed, but she looked down. She shut her eyes and started to pray under her breath.

Flying. It was a favorite passtime of Kiyoko's. But on her way back to Xarisa, she refrained from doing so - not wanting to be spotted. But now she was on her homeland, and she was free to do as she pleased. She thought about swooping and diving through the air, but first she glanced down at her passenger, immediately noticing that she had closed her eyes. Oops, she commented to herself.
She increased her speed. Soon the caves were in veiw, she lowered altitude gradually, since a sudden dip might have frightened Fritchie. Kiyoko allowed Fritchie to land gently on her feet before releasing her wrist. Kiyoko, on the other hand, performed a small backspin while transforming in mid-flight. She landed steadily on her feet, her legs bending slightly to absorb the shock. At her full height, Kiyoko turned to Fritchie, grinning slightly.
"That was fun!"

Even ancients have fear! Fritchie kept her eyes closed. As there was a small dip towards the ground Fritchie almost gasped but didn't. Once her feet landed on the ground and Kiyoko released her wrist Fritchie sank down onto the hard Earth.
'That was fun!' She looked up at Kiyoko and shook her head softly. For you... maybe... Fritchie was breathing slightly fast trying to clear her mind. This is sad! Seeing an ancient acting like this from something like that!

Kiyoko tilted her head slightly at Fritchie's reply. She chortled nervously. "Heh, well, if I had known that you were... we would've walked instead," she commented meekly, feeling sympathy for the disadvantage of her phobia. Kiyoko chose to wait until Fritchie had collected herself before she continued the meager distance from them and the caves. "Just tell me when you feel better, Fritchie-san."

Fritchie look at her as she spoke. 'Heh, well, if I had known that you were... we would've walked instead.' Fritchie gave a weak smile. She just wanted to pound her head in for being fearfull of hieghts. Something she never knew she was afraid of.
'Just tell me when you feel better, Fritchie-san.' Fritchie closed her eyes and took in a few more deep breaths. She stood up and smiled slightly. "I think I am good.... sorry about that." She really ment it too. She felt weird and bad for acting like that in front of the leader.

Kiyoko wondered why Fritchie was appologizing, seeing as she'd done nothing wrong. Fears were apart of life, not much you could really do about them - other than fear them, of course. "Please, don't. You have no reason to be sorry," she insisted.
With her companion well again, Kiyoko began to amble towards the caves. Delight enveloping her as her memories came flooding in. Indeed, nothing had changed, but she loved as is. She glanced about, spotting a vampire in various locations, out in the open or poking their head out of a cave. She'd have to preform a clan meeting, she knew, to announce her return and her leadership. But not yet, tomorrow seems like an ideal time. Tonight she wanted to meet and greet some old faces and aquire acquaintances.
