"Dammit," Amaya berated to no one in particular. "How did he venture off so far?"
Somehow in the dense and close-knitted forest of Enrie, Akio and Amaya - the Aoitsuki twins - were separated. Though, it wasn't much of a surprise.
Amaya had once again thoroughly pissed off Akio by a reckless action that threatened their stay in the Tau Ceti castle, another not so shocking fact, and he departed from her company and out of their clan's territory, Fyrmau.
"Well... shit," she murmured to herself, letting out a frustrated sigh. She continued to trek through the seemingly never-ending woods, keeping an eye out for any sign of blue hair that matched her own, as well as staying aware of any potential foe that may lurk around here.
Akio strolled through the openings in the Enrie forest, sharply cutting corners and delving deeper into the labyrinth of trees.
He was glad to be alone - actually alone. Akio didn't mind the presence of his twin around him, but there were times where she risked their very lives. And although he knew they would make it out fine, he despised being in that particular situation to begin with.
Akio released a relieved breath of air. When his deep blue orbs unveiled, the canopy of dark shaded leaves was all that was above him. His eyes then lowered to peer the clearing around him. Suddenly feeling a small wave of fatigue come to him, Akio leaned against a tree and slid down to sit on the lush greenery beneath him. His eyes leisurely closed, taking in the soft and soothing sounds of the forest.
Solitude. And silence.
"Fuck," Aoiryuu swore aloud, attempting to untangle her foot from a bramble that she hadn't noticed until too late. Not even wanting to bother with the nuisance anymore, the bush was suddenly alight in brilliant blue flames - instantly reducing to ash. Seen within the smoldering soot was a cerulean glow, smoke rising from the pile. The irritating shrubbery wasn't the only reason her temper was sky-rocketing. The fact that she was lost in a forest was what mainly ticked her off - and that she'd lost track of where Kurou went was another factor at work, also.
Aoiryuu didn't know exactly how she unknowningly departed from Kurou. It seemed one moment she was with him then, the next, not. She guessed he probably turned down another path when she was unaware of it. Aoiryuu saw Ryuukou and Sana a bit before, but as to where their location was she didn't know - Hell, she didn't even knew what part of Japan she was in anymore!
So, basically, she was, entirely, lost.
"Dammit!" In succession to her swear, a plethora of other vulgar phrases were voiced, her fuming anger increasing the further she dwelved into the woods.
Ryuukou paced through the thicket at slow, steady rate, retracing his steps from the point he'd been separated from Sana. But to all his attempts of finding the maroon-haired femme served no avail.
Running his fingers through his blue tresses, Ryuukou glanced about his surroundings. He was utterly loss for words as to how he became this deep into the forest; he had somehow even forgot where the worn pathway that he and Sana had been walking down barely a moment ago was.
He chuckled slightly, not that he found his predicament humorous, but for that fact that he fully believed that he was lost in the woods; more for the thought that he knew Aoiryuu had - somewhere and somehow - fell under the same outcome, and knew very well how she hated being practically helpless.
"Well," Ryuukou said aloud to himself, in an oddly calm manner. "Another ordinary day," he continued, this time with a small smile. He continued to backtrack, pondering where Sana, or even Aoiryuu and Kurou had gone off to. Although the two couples might not have come together, he wouldn't mind running into either Kurou or Aoiryuu - or both - since then he would have company as he searched for the others.
For those noobs who don't know already, Aoiryuu and Ryuukou have the same face claim as meh other characters Amaya and Akio. Whenever Sakirou gets around to post, one of her characters, Kurou, has the same face claim as one of Eri's characters, Sai. To add more confusion, we, Meh and Sakirou, would love for Eri to bring him if she can. It'll beh frikkin funneh! >w<

How in the world did we get separated? Finding her method of backtracking on the trail her she and Ryuukou were last together utterly useless, she sighed in frustration, taking a moment's meditation to override her agitation with rationality. "Okay, maybe if I just wait here, he'll find his way back and-" She turned her head eastward instinctively, due to a sudden, intuitive impulse. She stared past the close-knit trees and unruly undergrowth, and was overcome by a sudden urge to pursue the strange presence that seemed to be summoning her. With slow but sure acceleration, her soles left the dirt trail, and she began to venture into unmarked territory.
She had never felt a spiritual presence as strange and formidable - it hardly felt human. Her pace stimulated faster as she drew closer, each movement an involuntary decision. Finally, without being reasonably scathed by the brambles and brittle limbs that hindered her path, she reached her destination. What she saw, however, immediately perplexed her, and for the first time, caused her to question her own spiritual abilities.
In her eyes, it was Ryuukou, the only name she had come to associate with that face - little did she know it was, in reality, another existence - a different species from Ryuukou, altogether.
Still thoroughly confused, Sana decided to disregard her dismay, and refocus herself on the fact that she finally found her boyfriend. She approached Akio, whom she believed to be Ryuukou, quietly, as he was resting soundly against a tree. Kneeling before him, Sana felt regretful to have to wake him, but it was necessary the two searched for Kurou and Aoiryuu. God knows what kinds of peril lie within this vast forest. She placed her hands on his shoulders, and shook him with just enough force needed to dislodge him from his sleep. "Ryuukou, wake up,"
"Fucking wilderness... this is exactly why these damn forests get bulldozed..." Kurou cursed aloud, kicking at the underbrush as his steps collided with it, though the only outcome was his own stumbling over the obstacle. His chances of relocating Aoiryuu were beginning to look hopeless, and he was getting fed up with the fact that Mother Nature was knocking him down almost every step of the way. By this point, he was holding a deep grudge against these particular woods, and sincerely hoped it would be obliterated for good sometime in the near future. The furthur he ventured/stumbled, the less familiar his surroundings appeared. Was there no end to this accursed place?
Stopping for a rest, Kurou calmed himself enough to visually survey the area. A squirrel in the lower boughs of a tree caught his eye. It seemed like a good time to take out his anger on something. Arming himself with a fully-loaded, black revolver, he fired a single, accurate shot at the small tree-dweller, and quickly following the resultant boom!, the crimson-laden carcass descended to the earth below.

A form was approaching, this Akio knew as he heard the snap of several twigs to the side, but he disregarded the occurance, being too relaxed at the moment to care for his surroundings. He barely took it into consideration as to what was coming his way, instantaneously deciding it was a mundane animal, seeing as most humans are devoid of the thought of entering vampire territories - in spite of this area being Enrie, the home of the Canopus, a 'neutral' land.
He pushed the presence of the unknown being away, since he believed it was a simple creature of the forest; it ought to be used to vampires, and to know what was one and as well as what it should do if it were to happened upon one: Run.
Akio quickly revised his original view of the lingering form, having put more thought into and came to a better outcome. It was a human. And lucky for Akio, it was one that was ignorant enough to come right before him and even bother him in his supposed slumber. All in half a heartbeat - as he went in accordance to the vibrant pulsing of the heart in the human afronting him - his left hand swiftly shot from beside him to clinch the mortal's left wrist. From the thin wrist and scent he picked up, his victim was female. Only a long second later of contemplation did Akio reveal his deep cerulean orbs to peer at his captive. In the femme's eyes, Akio saw a familiarity and care. He knew he had not met the human before, so why was she displaying such signs affection?
'Young' was the first description that came to Akio's mind as he further surveyed Sana. As it seemed, that alone was enough to decide his path. He smirked minutly, now that he thought about it, he was a bit peckish; female blood was a preferrence to him whenever he got around to 'eating'. And why would he forgo his chance of pristine blood when it was right there before him, literally, in his grasp?
His grin broadened, now allowing his elongated incisors to protrude slightly from beneath his upper lip. As he prepared to advance, another snap! of a stick alerted him of another human coming. And by how close the presence loomed in a short amount of time, the mortal was accelerating very - very - quickly.
"Ryuukou~!"
The squeal made Akio wince, the high-pitched ring buzzing in his ears, causing a small headache to develop in he back of his head. As he started to slowly, painfully, turn his head to the origin of the voice, a mass abruptly collided into him, scrawny limbs wrapped tightly around his neck, and the warmth of flesh pressed against his cheek. Mikimi's impact caused Akio to land roughly on his back, with her weight ontop.
"Oh, Ryuukou, I thought I was lost in this place! But now that you're here I-" Mikimi began, but was halted as Akio's now free hand - since the collision caused him to lose hold of Sana's wrist - clamped around her throat, contricting her speech and, especially, her breathing. Akio rose to a sitting position once more, then to his full height, lifting Mikimi off her feet to hover just above the ground. Mikimi's thin fingers pryed uselessly at Akio's firm grip, trying to gain even the smallest brush of air. She attempted to voice his name, to express her necessity to breathe, but Akio made no effort to slack his death-grip on her neck.
"Damn humans," Akio muttered venomously, a visage of disgust forming.
With a simple toss of his hand, Akio sent Mikimi flying, landing about fifteen feet from where he stood. She gradually moved to prop her upper weight on a hand, the other raising to softly caress her reddened throat. She refused to speak, since her pained neck hindered her capability of doing so, and moreso the truth that she had become frightened by 'Ryuukou.'
Akio's blue gaze lowered to focus on Sana, remembering what he had been intending to do not even a moment before. The wicked smirk returned, though not as prominant as the one prior.
"You needn't worry - it'll only hurt a bit."
A gun shot? Amaya pondered as she heard the distant peal, her head pivoting to face the direction of the noise. She glanced to where she had been heading, which was little to say, seeing as she had no idea which part of the forest Akio resided in. Her mind made up in following the origin of the firearm's cry, she started toward it, inwardly deciding that it couldn't have been too far out.
A small whif of blood reached her nostrels, causing her to immediately suppose that an 'arguement' amounted, and eventually led to the impalement of another. But, as she started to gain more of the scent, she realized it was only animal blood - perhaps of raccoon or maybe a squirrel - but it did not possess the intensity of human blood.
She soon came upon the source of the strong smell; it had been rather ambient even though it only came from a small body, but the splatter of blood on the area behind it most likely added to its aroma. It had indeed been the blood of a squirrel, though the thick layer of crimson that coated most of it veiled many of its identifying features.
Amaya continued forward, around a tree, and then, suddenly, she stopped. Her deep blue orbs instantly sharpening into a glare as they settled on Kurou, although who she perceived to be Sai. To Amaya, seeing 'Sai' was the last thing she needed, since the very mention of his name brought a sour taste to her mouth, and also the overwhelming desire to murder him right then and there.
She viewed her predicament, and her two options - one that appealed to her, and one that she would hate entirely. She could just simply walk away, but Amaya doubted she even had the will to do so. Or, since they were in a forest the expanded forever in whichever direction, she could slay him, and no one would ever know. Though Sensation would recognize his disappearance, Amaya disregarded that fact, but she knew that she would probably be approached first by the Tau Ceti leader, since Amaya had displayed the most hostility to Sai than anyone in the entire clan.
"Fuck," Amaya murmured bitterly to herself, having chosen a path that she possesed a hatred for: Walking away. She spun on a heel and headed back in the direction she came, hoping with all her might that 'Sai' hadn't seen her, although the chances for that were rather slim.
Perched on a low branch, having been fed up with trekking through the woods, Aoiryuu peered around her, checking for any signs of movement. Returning to her former postion of reclining on the bulky trunk of the tree, a leg hanging down and swinging softly while the other stand crooked and maintaining her balance. She had decided eleven minutes ago that she would wait and see if anyone came her way("Screw this!" Aoiryuu chided to no one. "I should just fucking burn this damned forest!"), at that time, she noticed the limb that she now rests on.
The shrill resounding noise of a gun fire came to her, the event immediatly giving her the inspiration to take leave of the tree and begin to navigate through the woods once more, her only known direction was that of the gun peal.
Not too far from the tree she left, her foot caught on something - or rather, in something. Seeing as her foot would not dislodge, Aoiryuu glanced behind her, wondering what was prohibiting her movement. Her eyes rested on her foot for a short moment when she noticed that her limb was slowly sinking into the ground.
A nerve snapped.
"What the Hell?! Quicksand?!" she began to shout, thoroughly irritated. "Are you fucking kidding me?!" As she spoke, she yanked her foot from the sinking sand. But as she started to begrudgingly pace away, it was then she realized that when she withdrew her foot, she lost her loosely-tied Converse shoe in the process. She swiftly turned back to dig her Hi-Top from the quicksand, muttering incohernsies under her breath as she pulled against the grains of sand that held fast onto her shoe. In the distance, she heard a familiar voice: Mikimi. Aoiryuu knew the tone, but she did not quite hear what she had spoke, but she soon managed to decipher her twin's name. Her attention quickly diverted back to her shoe, having forgotten about due to Mikimi's disturance. It was gone. She groaned in frustration, now she had to venture through this forest with only one shoe, her other foot only bearing an ankle sock.
To Aoiryuu, this was, officially, her worst and most unlucky days she has ever had. She did not understand how this much shit could occur in within the time she entered the wilderness.
"Fuck!" she bellowed at the top of her lungs, for, it seems, no reason at all. But, in truth, she did have a purpose for her overly-pronounced curse. Aoiryuu rested a palm on the bark of the nearest tree, allowing her weight to be supported by it as she rose her shoe-ridden foot to inspect. Burs and splinters covered the bottom of her sock. With a multitude of miniscule blue sparks, the forest nuisanses reduced to ash and lofted to the lush greenery below. When her foot was begone of any irritants, Aoiryuu embarked on her trek again. Though her advances through the woods were short-lived as she was forced to halt every now and then to remove the burs from her foot - as well as to let off some steam that consisted of incinerating a nearby tree or shurb; as well as a flowing steam of swears.
At this rate she really doubted she would be able to relocate Kurou, which, indeed, shot her temper higher everytime she remembered that particular thought.
"Mikimi," Ryuukou unknowingly thought aloud, prior to having heard her cry his name. He nervously glanced over his shoulders, waiting for Mikimi to appear from no where and glomp him - which could possibly happen at any given moment. He really disliked that certain trait of her's, and also that she chose him to use it on.
He raised a palm to rest on his forehead, closing his eyes in annoyance. "Why?" Ryuukou continued to whisper under his breath as he continued down the path his had happened upon a few minutes ago.

Sana froze as her wrist was suddenly arrested by Ryuukou's firm grip. Her eyes refusing to lift from him, they finally met his as they revealed themselves to look up at her. Her brows furrowed in fearful realization as she pinpointed his abnormally long canines.
A vampire?
Sana had never completely denied the existence of vampires. To someone like her, almost any 'mythical' creature was possible. Only a second of gazing into his eyes was enough to convince her it wasn't Ryuukou. Even if he had - she almost dare not think of something so horrible - being turned into a vampire during the time they were apart, and the transformation had destroyed his memories and altered his former personality completely, there would be still some trace of his former self, however minuscule. When she looked into the creature before her, there was nothing. Besides, since he was a Guardian, and Sana was the reincarnate of Chiisana, who rendered him empowered in the first place, there would always be some sort of spiritual connection.
He is not one of mine...
"Ryuukou~!"
"...Mikimi?" Sana turned in the direction of the voice which she recognized immediately. Because she knew it was Mikimi, she also anticipated the glompage that was soon to follow. This was quickly confirmed when Akio, with Mikimi sprawled on top of him, collided with the ground.
Sana's eyes widened in horror as Ryuukou - no, the vampire - began to choke Mikimi, and even went so far as to cruelly lift the girl by her throat.
"Stop it!" Sana cried out in desperation. She was unwilling to let Mikimi die, even if the girl was a nuisance. Just as Sana was about to physically intervene, the scrawny femme was helplessly flung away.
Now, Sana was once again at the center of Akio's attention. She stared up at him in evident fear - not because she was afraid for her life, she believed she would be okay since she was a capable fighter and she had Chiisana on her side - but because it was still difficult to comprehend the fact that he wasn't Ryuukou. No matter how many times she mentally repeated this fact, she could barely stand to see someone so identical to her beloved looking at her with such malicious intent.
Forcing herself to gather her thoughts, she knew she had to get both herself and Mikimi out of there - fast.
Looking away from him, Sana lashed out with a thick flurry of SenbonZakura, which immediately shrouded in the vampire's line of vision. Meanwhile, Sana sprinted off towards Mikimi, slowing down as little as possible to lift the girl by her wrist, and the two ran off.
Sana, her thoughts monopolized on getting away from their attacker, was hardly watching where she was going, and ran straight into Ryuukou, knocking both girls to the ground. At first, when Sana looked up at him, she believed him to be the vampire, who had easily caught up to them and was stopping them dead in their tracks. Her only thought was to get away from him, and with her hand still grasped on Mikimi, she pulled them both to their feet and just started to run away again when realization struck her. Releasing Mikimi, she slowly turned to face him, her eyes beginning overflow with tears of recognition and relief. As if to confirm the reality of his presence, she ran to him and threw a hug around his waist.
"Ryuukou!" She cried into his chest, hardly able to believe how happy she was to see him - the real him - after her previous predicament.
"Fuck,"
Aoiryuu? Kurou immediately turned in recognition of the voice, mindlessly putting his firearm away as he did so. However, his initial relief of having finally located her was dissolved by confusion as he noticed she was, in fact, walking away. Rather quickly and angrily, to make matters worse. At first, Kurou tried to come up with a way to say she merely hadn't noticed him, but all the evidence was against that particular reasoning. She couldn't have just not seen him - also, it was evident she was walking intentionally away from him.
Damn... what did I do this time? Kurou couldn't recall doing anything that would cause such adversity between them, especially to the extent that after being lost in the woods apart from each other after such a long span of time, she would still be trying to avoid him. Whatever it was, it must have been pretty fucking bad.
Despite his current befuddlement, Kurou knew he still had to go after her. Of course, there was still the possibility that everything he perceived was misleading, and her anger was truly directed towards something other than himself, but even so, nothing would be solved unless he approached her. Not to mention if he didn't, he would likely be lost in these woods for a long, long time.
Finally running to catch up with Amaya, whom he thoroughly believed to be Aoiryuu he was pursuing, he slowed as he approached her from behind, reaching out to grasp her right upper arm in an attempt to halt her advancement, "Hey... why are you running away from me?" Kurou demanded, though not without displaying a tinge of hurt that she was this angry with him in the first place.

Akio grimaced as Sana made an attempt to flee. He immediately made a move to cease her flight, but was halted by the sudden swarming mass of cherry blossom petals. Instinctively, Akio's arm swiftly slashed through the air in an upwards motion, with it, a large chunk of the ground rose. The earthy mass ended the petals' direct path for him before dropping back to the ground, haphazardly landing at an angle and causing a slight vibration below Akio's feet. A small rush of wariness manifested in Akio's arm, but it was nothing that could not be bearable. Blue orbs dangerously roved up to the path the humans took, narrowing to finer slits at his anger towards their escape and the confusion the abrupt flurry of cherry blossoms caused him.
As he began to trek in the direction of the mortal females, Akio's mind raced and scoured for answers to the occurrence; at first the search seemed hopeless, but he was determined to locate a good enough explanation for the appearance of the petals. They were human, this Akio knew by their presences, simply and wholly human. But, how had the rouge-haired femme conjured the petals? Humans possessed no blood-traits unless sharing blood with a vampire who, in turn, did own a power. Even if the merest trace of vampiric blood ran through the female's blood, he most likely would have sensed it. The brunette, he pondered inwardly, she's the usual boring human I see day-to-day. But the other... As he recalled, Akio then remembered that there seemed to be something more to Sana, but it was not within that of vampire-relation. No, it was different, something powerful - maybe even spiritual, since he started to consider it. Then, Akio subsided the thought, thinking it was just his imagination or even that of the Enrie forest itself - he had never liked these woods, he had no apparent reason, it was just that the area seemed strange to Akio, and he had left it at that. So, to him, it was customary to disregard the oddities of the auras around him. But Sana's was an exception to many others he encountered every day, and he wondered why he had not picked it up sooner.
What... is she?
With silent regard, Mikimi allowed herself to be hauled up and steered through the winding trees by Sana. She remained quiet through the entire hasty escape from Akio, still confused thoroughly. Only when she was knocked to the ground once again did she chance a look up. She flinched at the sight of Ryuukou, not sure what was happening around her. She and Sana had just escaped from him in what seemed no more than a minute ago. How had he caught up with them?
More importantly - what was wrong with him? Why had he attacked her? So many questions were running through Mikimi's mind, which did little to aid her predicament. Her throat was still sore from where Akio had choked her; her side was barely any better from where she had landed roughly on the ground after he threw her, such bruise she did not notice until she finally rose from the ground.
Ryuukou staggered backwards at Sana's collision, both dazed and wondering what in the world was running at top speed through the forest. He had been paying no mind to his surroundings at the time of the impact, being deeply concentrated to try and pinpoint the location the gun peal he heard not too long ago originated from. It seemed to have come from several directions, Ryuukou acknowledged, but such was most likely due to the overly-abundant plethora of trees, causing the sound waves to deflect and overlap each other and what not. When he peered down to what had collided with him, he immediately felt a surge of relief.
"Sana, there you are...," Ryuukou began to say in a relieved, contented tone that soon died out as he watched her start to flee from him. "Sana?" he murmured to himself, bewildered by her decision to run away. But he continued to watch silently as she turned back to face him, immediately spotting her newly formed tears.
Mikimi idly observed Sana run to Ryuukou, flinging her arms around him. Instantly a pulse of hatred for the girl surged through her. Then, at that precise moment, she realized that this was the real Ryuukou and not the imposter from before - the calm, welcoming air now present hinted that much.
Ryuukou affectionately wrapped an arm around Sana's shoulders, while the other rose to gently rest on the back of her head - silently encouraging her to continue crying if doing so would help her soothe her shaken form. He smiled warmly as he gazed tenderly down at Sana, ready to give any form of reassurement if she ever bequested it. But he could not help but wonder what had happened to her that would cause her respond in such a manner. Being lost in the woods most certainly did not result her outcome, did it? He was positive that he would have found her sooner or later - roaming through these forests was not that bad of an experience. After a minute or so of hoping to some across a rational reason, yet to no avail, Ryuukou asked in a calm tone, "What happened?"
Mikimi got to her feet, unsteadily rising to her full height. "Don't-" she began to say, but her voice gave out and her neck started to throb in pain. Tenderly grasping her throat again, her voice soothed very slightly, but enough to talk intelligibly. "Don't touch my Ryuukou!" Undertaking a teetering trek to Ryuukou, where she would attempt to pry Sana from him, Mikimi stumbled a few times but soon made it to Ryuukou's side. She clung to his right arm, but upon feeling with the consoling warmth of his arm, she simmered into a halcyon mood, simply appeased by being in contact with Ryuukou. Her fit of jealousy dematerialized and she affectionately rested her head on his shoulder.
Ryuukou glanced at Mikimi as she approaching with a seething glare on Sana, of which soon strangely vanished. Huh? he thought, bewildered by both Mikimi’s withdrawn attitude and Sana’s sudden phase of fright. His initial thought was to endeavor a chance to free his arm, but decided against it. Mikimi seemed unbalanced at the moment, this Ryuukou noticed from her decision to - however strange and slightly unnerving it sounded when he acknowledged to himself - share him with Sana. Even though it was Mikimi in turmoil, Ryuukou refused to let anyone suffer from any type of trauma if he knew he could aid and help them through it.
As Amaya sensed Kurou's presence draw closer, her ever short - and quickly decreasing - temper was hanging intact by barely much of her strained will. And she knew that that reserve could not last for much longer as her pursuer came near.
You've got some nerve, Sai, Amaya inwardly raged, keeping up her swift pace and expertly weaving through the woods. Kurou's - supposedly Sai's - pursuit was beginning to ebb at her primary intention of simply walking away, which was a choice that she knew would never happen again in her long-ranged life span.
And, now that she thought about it, why did she walk away?
Sure she would possibly be griped out by Akio, but he disliked Sai as well, so he would not stay angry for too long. And as for Sensation, Amaya could not care less what her actions against the Aoitsuki twins were. Seeing as, in Amaya's vantage point, Sensation did not seem like the type that should be commanding a powerful and feared clan like the Tau Ceti at any rate and did, indeed, needed to be replaced by someone more suitable. The Ancients and Elders were what Amaya's problems reside in. And a majority of them were pro-Sensation; that particular fact Amaya found rather irritating. She abruptly shook her head, instantaneously dismissing her chain of thought.
She knew what was to come now. Sai had spotted her soon off and immediately prepared the usual barrage of weak insults and poor comebacks to use against her. However a strange concept when considering Amaya, she was not particularly in the mood to face him while she was already immensely ticked off as it was - being eye-to-eye with Sai and him being the focal point of most of her typical everyday rage, she did not have much of an alternative to set her blue gaze upon. Although she would rather not linger and ultimately help decide Sai's fate - Amaya would be in more favor of, at the moment, finding Akio and be ridden of the Enrie forest - but seeing as he was in a persistent trek after her, she had no choice but to face what the other vampire readied for her.
Wait... vampire? she asked herself after realizing that she did not pick up another vampire's ambiancy. But her thought ran its term when Kurou seized her brachium, effectively ceasing her desired escape. The warmth of his flesh caught her off-guard, having being accustomed to and expecting the usual chilling, icy touch of a vampire. When she eventually turned to face him, she half expected it to be someone else entirely, since every other instinct within her told her that it was, in fact, a mere human, but to her increasing confusion, it was, in appearance alone, who she came to know as Sai. She set aside her vampire sensory and only relied on what she saw before her: another vampire, who just happened to be the one that Amaya would give anything to kill.
What the...? was Amaya's preliminary thought to Kurou's inquery, his distressed visage adding to her puzzlement. Though making no significant note about it, she had to heighten her gaze to meet Kurou's eyes - then she had an annoyingly nagging feeling that she overlooked something.
" 'Running away'?" Amaya repeated coolly, venom infecting her words despite her slight bewilderment from, seemingly, Sai's odd behavior and aura. "I see it more as ignoring an irritating pest that simply won't die.
"You should be more grateful, Sai, since I actually thought about sparing your fucking worthless life," she concluded, her glower intensifying on his purple orbs. She abruptly thrusted her right arm back to free or at least loosen it from Kurou's grasp. Immediately afterward - whether her arm was let loose or not - she performed a swift uppercut with her left hand, which was surrounded by brilliant blue flames; her vampiric nails sliced through the air as it raced to its target: Kurou's throat.
Damn… it’s getting dark…, Aoiryuu muttered inwardly as she stormed through the forest path. She groaned bitterly as she halted her trek for at least the fiftieth time to rid her shoeless foot of the forests nuisances. She glanced at the tree she leaned on, mentally deciding whether to stop there, rest, and wait for somebody to pass by or to continue on her seemingly fruitless search. She let out a sigh of frustration and proceeded in her original motive of ambling down the bur-filled path.
“Shit,” Aoiryuu spat at the small, dull stabs of pain from each step she took with her almost bare foot.
