It's all a sham, false sense of security and everything....
I suppose living as a rogue for most of my life isn't exactly a plus, it leads to a natural suspicion of all those around me. Hell, I even suspected Raiden at times but I would still trust him until he betrayed me to my face. Love is blind? I hated that word too...almost as much as I hated the idea that I was going to be having children in a few more months. I grumbled slightly to myself though no doubt that Raiden would feel a slight rumbling, as she moved forward.
I didn't care for her looks, for all I knew she was trying to lull me into a false sense of security before she attacked. She kept moving forward and I concentrated, trying to fry her brains from the inside but I was distracted when Raiden spoke. I grumbled slightly again before turning in his hold and a sudden thought hit me. A rumor I'd been hearing, it bothered me.
"How loyal are you to the clan?" My tone was so quiet as I ignored the girl even though I felt her touch me and saying that I needed to be in her clan. How wrong she was, my survival rate was higher as a Cygni. People didn't want to mess with my faction, after all, what made it so that wer got kicked out of the clan anyways? Some where worse than me.
But the rumor, it bothered me slightly because of Raiden mostly. It was about a new clan, small but powerful, and their idea was to solidify the vampire clans into one, by killing all who resisted and turning those who surrendered into slaves. Only those that actually sought them out would be safe, and had I not been accosted by the girl I probably would gone to seek them out.
I glanced at the girl, hoping that Raiden was going to say that he wasn't very loyal to his clan, it would be much simpler. Let her die or figure out how to survive, but if Raiden was loyal I would have no choice otherwise it seemed. I sighed heavily, almost resigning myself to the fate that was coming.
See, there are benefits to a Cygni...many people just don't realize it....

Raiden watched his leader listening to her every word. So, his love was being invited into the clan. But, is that what she wants he wasn't sure. He closed his eyes and starting thinking about it when Diru asked him about if he was loyal to the clan. He wanted to say no, since he was sure that is what would make her somewhat happy but it wasn't true. He was. This was his birth clan, well that is what his parents had told him.
He has always been a member of the clan and the only thing he has really done love is fallen in love with someone outside the clan... Well someone besides Diru. His first love was from the Tau Ceti clan and he helped kill her mother and brother. As well he helped start the war between the two clans. The Tau Ceti and the Deneb. Was that smart of him? Not really, but to his knowledge no one besides him and Isis knows of that past. But other then those little things he has always been loyal to the Deneb and probably will always be.
He answered Diru in the same hushed tone she used. "I am my dear. And I always will be." He turned his attention back to his leader. "It would be nice to have her in the same clan, but I can not make that call. We have found away around the clan problems before. And it be that big of issue. So in all due respect, it is Diru's choice if she wants to be a member also."

A soft smile toyed at the corners of her mouth, the pale lips twisting up mercillessly. A caring look she held now, watching the pair as they discussed their options. The female looked at him asking him if he were loyal to the clan. What the hell kind of question was that?! A brow poised itself in question, glancing at Raiden, wondering what his response would be. If no, she would kill him. What other choice did she have? How dare he declare himself a Deneb and betray his clan for some foolish girl. Her face remained calm, despite the gears in her head that turned on creaky hinges, plotting out her every move, every play she would use, thinking of his attacks that. His lips parted, and words tumbled from them in the same hushed tone I am my dear. And I always will be. Wise choice, and mentally she breathed a sigh of relife. Very well then, it was now the girls choice, her offer still remained, but slowly it was dying more and more. His attention turned back to her, and Eve's ice eyes met his, hands locked behind her back as she leaned in slightly, paying clear attention to what he had to say, her face still. It would be nice to have her in the same clan, but I can not make that call. We have found away around the clan problems before. And it be that big of issue. So in all due respect, it is Diru's choice if she wants to be a member also. The caring smile returned to her face, and she took another step back, her hand waving in front of her, giving up the floor. Very well then, Diru, It is your choice. She watched uninterested now, locking eyes with the femme but spacing out some, the mind in her voice distracting. Nicley played. If she denies, what will you do? Oh, lets kill her Im not going to kill her Why not? Shes older than I dumbass! And itll be two on one, Im really not in the mood for my life at stake But Im on your side as wel! Yea, if only you actually fought Not my fault it grumbled, then returned again, its voice sharp in her head. So then, what are you going to do to him? You cant allow this Allow what? This! This, affair they have! He may just stab you in the back I trust him How can you?! How on earth can you allow this relation to go on?! Oh just shut up, we were in love once as well, remeber? it sighed dreamily, as did Eve, breathing heavily, loosing herself in the memories. It snapped back to attention That was different Not really It was and you know it. Look, Im not going to kick him out because of this. He fell in love, whats the worst that can happen? It grumbled Its not him Im worried about. Its the girl. Just look at her, she was trying to get him to betray your clan, and shell keep trying until she gets her way. And? And?! And so shelll take him and the kid and just, leave, and try to recieve control of the clan if she can. Mmm I can handle her, dont worry. Obviously shes not that big of a threat if shes still here. She hasnt touched me once Shes going to beat you at your own game...Noones done that before, I highly doubt it. Silence echoed in her head, hearing the voice dissapear, flipping the hair out of her face, snapping back to attention, meeting their gaze as though nothing had happened.

He spoke to his leader stating it was my choice. I didn't want to, but wouldn't he get upset with me if I didn't? I sighed slightly before turning around again to look at the girl.
"You won't believe me," I began waiting for that look of sarcasm I knew would be coming. "There's a clan that very few know about, and before you even ask how I know about it, think what I am, and their goal is to bring all the vampires under one rule, by destroying all of those who oppose them. If you surrender they'll merely make you into slaves. Do what you will with this infomation, likely as not you'll not believe me." I said, tone calm though by the end my tone had turned hostile. Hehe, put a spike in your plans huh?
I looked at Raiden over my should, wondering what he would think about this. It's not my fault, I wanted to be with him but I'd seen what this clan had done and it worried me. I grumbled slightly, looking at my stomach, they would think I was weak anyways, but they didn't know what I knew. Nobody did.
So girly, what are you going to do now? And don't worry, I don't want your clan, I just want Raiden....

Raiden was waiting for Diru's answer. He wasn't sure what she was going to say. If she said no would he leave to go with her? If she said yes would he be happy. Well that one of course is a yes. But if she says no what would he do is the main question... The main thing that passed through his head was that why should it matter? They have been in two diffrent clans since they have met pretty much. So why should it bug him?
He looked at Diru as she spoke and talked about a new clan out there and what they plan to do. He wasn't sure what to make of this. Part of him was like that can't be true Diru must have got some wrong information. Yet the other part was, no, she wouldn't tell a something unless she knows the true facts. So he was believing the second part.
Yet, the thing was if it was true, should he leave the clan and join her so he isn't 'killed' or made a slave? Of course not! He was loyal to his clan and would fight for it. He wouldn't get scared over something like this at all. And he wouldn't leave his clan either. He looked back to his leader though, wondering what she would say about the 'new' clan.

Silence. It lingered in the air after Diru had spoken, deadly, ever so deadly. The cool ice eyes hardened, turning venomous, toxic if you will. There's a clan that very few know about, and before you even ask how I know about it, think what I am, and their goal is to bring all the vampires under one rule, by destroying all of those who oppose them. If you surrender they'll merely make you into slaves. Do what you will with this infomation, likely as not you'll not believe me Slaves? They thought, they could turn her, Evangeline, the feared, probably the youngest clan leader, under their rule?! To turn her into a slave. She wanted to kill, to lash and tear at someones head, knock it clean off their shoulders. Her fangs sunk into her bottom lip, pinching the skin hard, until it broke and blood pulsed inside her mouth. Her posture changed, fingers bent like claws at her side, the long black nails just dying to rip something apart. I believe you She whispered, the tone venomous, hostile more so than Diru's had been. I will not question how you know of this, but what I can do with it, I havent quite figured out The last part ended in a snarl. What the hell? How could she stop them? There had to be a way. Perhaps get the word around now? Yank all the clans underneath her, even the dreaded Tau Ceite? No, never, they wouldnt believe her. Hell, it was a miracle that she had believed Diru, let alone them believing their enemy. A soft growl rose in her throat. The ordasity of some people! It made her blood boil. No, she wouldnt surrender, never ever would she give up. Her attention turned back to the waiting couple. I suppose the question would be, what are you going to do with this information? Her tone changed, deadly, but not towards them. Clearly she was pissed, it was obvious in the way her eyes narrowed into slits, her snow hands poised like a giant cats, just waiting for the kill. No, now it wasnt a matter of winning over Diru, it was a matter of strategy. Whether she joined in or not, what was her plan? What was their plan?? Surrender? Become a simple minded slave? Or fight back, revolt against whomever was planning this giant clan thing? I will not surrender She whispered, staring into the girls eyes, determination clear. Now it was for them to decide she supposed. Her mind was clear, they could flee, and she would let them, and go off to be slaves, or stand with her and revolt, even if it meant death.

Humph, I could sell this information, but I'm not going to. I'm an honorable vampire, until I get upset.
I watched them both calmly, the girl more so than Raiden. It really did feel good to be back in his arms, and to know that he wasn't upset with me. Though I had to admit I had been rather foolish, after all it was his, nobody could ever accuse me of cheating on Raiden, or at least have it proven true and them still living after it reaches my ears.
She said she believed me and I blinked slightly. Really now? You believe an elder of the Cygni? Amazing, I glanced at Raiden calmly, watching his face calmly before my attention shifted to the girl again who was upset and almost ranting. "Personally, I intend to stay by Raiden's side and do anything I can to make sure that he and the ones he cares about are kept safe." I said calmly. If that meant having to go into that new clan and doing who knows what then so be it, for Raiden I would go to the ends of the earth.
Some people only wish they had an ounce of my loyalty at times....

Raiden listened to the two females speaking. He was just wondering about this new clan and why they thought like this. It was weird. He just hoped if he had to face them it would be with more then just his clan with him. He decided to say what he thought. "I think it would be best we tell the other clans about this. So they can watch out, and not be careless."
